Surface Solutions specializes in restoring old, dull, hard-to-clean bathtubs and sinks. Note that not all tubs or sinks may qualify for this process, as the porcelain must be relatively free from chips or defects in order to restore it. If the porcelain is worn down to the metal underneath or has excessive chips, then your only option may be too reglazed or resurface. If your tub or sink can be restored, we begin by removing all of the old caulk from around the tub, and then the porcelain surface is treated with an exclusive blend of degreasers and stain removers to remove all impurities.

Next, the surface is treated with a polymer sealant similar to the product used by a dentist to seal tooth enamel. The sealant cures (dries) almost instantly and prevents further contamination of the surface. A high gloss shine is then restored to the surface with the use of a high-speed buffer, sealing the new surface with a long lasting finish. Regular cleaning with a non-abrasive cleanser will assure many years of use from your restored tub or sink.

Our Restoration Process is drastically different from all other porcelain refinishing in that no paint is used. Therefore, there is virtually no odor with this process and the downtime is minimal. The bathroom is out of commission only while our technician is there. The tub or sink can be used within about an hour after we complete the process.
